Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of karaokai.in (the "Service"), operated by Karaokai ("Karaokai", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Karaokai lets you submit a YouTube video URL and generates a karaoke-style video with vocals removed and synchronized lyrics, using a combination of AI transcription, third-party lyric databases, and AI-generated backgrounds.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or using the Service under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering.

4. Credits and payments

The Service works on a credit system: one credit generates one karaoke video. New accounts receive one free credit. Additional credits can be purchased in packs via Cashfree Payments and do not expire. If a job fails due to a problem on our end, the credit used is automatically refunded to your account — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.

5. Content you submit

You may only submit YouTube videos that you own, that are in the public domain, or that you otherwise have the right to use for creating a personal karaoke track. Karaokai does not host, distribute, or claim ownership of any copyrighted music processed through the Service — the resulting video is generated for your personal use, and you are solely responsible for ensuring that use complies with applicable copyright law.

If you're a rights holder and believe content generated through the Service infringes your copyright, contact support@karaokai.in with details and we will investigate and take appropriate action.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to submit illegal content, to abuse or overload the Service (including automated bulk submissions), or to attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

7. Third-party dependencies

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and APIs, including YouTube, OpenAI, RunPod, and lyric databases (LRCLIB, Musixmatch, Genius). We don't control their availability, and processing times can vary — some songs can take anywhere from a few minutes to under an hour depending on length and language.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that AI-transcribed lyrics, timing, or generated backgrounds will be perfectly accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karaokai's liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific credit or job giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
